Ruby Crews is an associate attorney at Vrapi Weeks in our Albuquerque and Santa Fe offices. She represents families, businesses, and individuals in cases involving family petitions, green card applications, waivers, naturalization and citizenship, U Visas for victims of crimes, removal of conditions and green card renewals, and other immigration matters.

Ms. Crews graduated summa cum laude from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Political Science-Public Service and minors in Middle Eastern Studies and International Development Economics. After college she spent 2 years serving in the Peace Corps as a Community Economic Development Volunteer in Burkina Faso. Ms. Crews attended law school at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where she focused her studies on international law, human rights, and immigration. During her time in law school, she worked with asylum seekers in Thessaloniki and Chios, Greece and with refugee and asylee families in Denver, CO. She also received certificates in public and private international law from The Hague Academy of International law in The Netherlands. She then worked for two years as a legal aid attorney assisting domestic violence survivors in divorce and custody cases.

Ms. Crews is passionate about promoting human rights at the community level in order to build strong, interwoven, resilient communities. This means ensuring that people can live and thrive in the place they choose and do so safely and securely. Ms. Crews is committed to helping people navigate the immigration system with compassion and clarity. She hopes that through this work the communities we live in will become stronger, vibrant, and safe for all.

Ms. Crews grew up in Northern Arizona and is thrilled to be back in the beautiful high desert of the Southwest. In her free time, she loves getting out in nature, curling up with her cat (Yeri) and a good book, making delicious food, eating delicious food, and traveling to beautiful places both near and far.
