Legal Case Manager
Michelle Johnson
Michelle Johnson is a Legal Case Manager at Vrapi Weeks Albuquerque office. She handles mostly employment based cases. She is fluent in Spanish.
She was born in rural Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and a Minor in Spanish in 2024. She later moved to Albuquerque to pursue a PhD in sociology at UNM, working closely with faculty on research projects pertaining to race and the census. Her interests in immigration led her away from academia and brought her here, where she hopes to provide excellent and timely service to clients with their immigration needs.
Michelle’s mother emigrated to Minnesota from Peru, and later her grandparents emigrated and became citizens in their elderly life. Growing up going to citizenship ceremonies, doing practice civics tests with family members, and watching rural Minnesota’s immigrant communities grow and prosper has given Michelle a unique familiarity with immigration processes and communities. She strives to create a safe and welcoming environment that helps put clients at ease during these important and sometimes difficult processes.
Outside of work Michelle enjoys cooking, playing guitar, being outdoors, and finding new movies to watch.
