Cristina James

Cristina James is a Legal Case Manager at Vrapi Weeks’ Albuquerque office. Ms. James handles family, individual, and humanitarian immigration cases. She works hard to ensure that clients’ immigration forms and documents are prepared in a timely and thorough manner and that cases run smoothly. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Ms. James was born in Mexico City but was raised in Gallup, NM from the age of 7. Since very young she saw her parents navigate through the complex immigration system when working on obtaining status. She grew up telling her mother that one day she would be an immigration attorney to help people going through the same process. While in Gallup she was involved in teaching financial classes. She also served on several boards including the Boys and Girls Club that offers activities, tutoring and a safe place for children to go to after school.

Ms. James, plans go to Law School, continue to work in immigration to and to advocate for individuals.

Outside of work, Ms. James enjoys spending time with her family. Her fiancé and her love the outdoors, hiking, going to the lakes, and camping. They have three very energetic dogs, including their latest rescue that turned out to be a Belgian Malinois, the most energetic of them all. She also enjoys reading and cooking in her free time.
